UL is a global leader in testing, inspection, certification, auditing and validation. The UL Mark is the single most accepted Certification Mark in the United States and other parts of the world.
The UL logo and the authority to use it by having a UL listed product continues to strengthen the Coopers Fire products range and it is Coopers Fire’s intention to have our full product range of fire and smoke curtains and controls tested and listed with UL.
FireMaster Concertina
In early 2018, our FireMaster Concertina product was tested to UL 10D at the UL laboratories in Chicago, USA.
The test was successful and so the FireMaster Concertina is now tested, compliant and listed to UL 10D through UL.
The FireMaster Concertina was granted a four hour fire rating.

UL 864
As well as testing the fire curtain structure, Coopers Fire have also tested the control systems or ‘Releasing Devices’ for use with fire curtains. As part of the testing schedule in 2018, Coopers Fire have tested a range control panels and motors to UL 864 (10th edition). UL 864 is recognised by the fire protection industry across the world. Other standards exist within individual countries and the EEA but UL 864 is the most significant and widely used.
Tests were also carried out in Chicago and we have successfully had our controls listed with UL for UL 864 (10th Edition).

FUTURE UL TESTING AND LISTING
Coopers Fire have recently returned from further testing with UL in Chicago. Early indications suggest that the fire tests went well and will allow future listing of several more products with UL.
